REICHENAU MISSION PRIMARY SCHOOL

A good education is the key to a self-determined future. This requires committed teachers and a school where learning is fun, and of a high quality. Our goal is to ensure that as many children from the region as possible have the opportunity to receive a high quality, free primary school education and that the transition to secondary school – a major hurdle for many children today – is nurtured. That is why we have restored, renovated and expanded the Reichenau Mission Primary School (RMPS).

In close cooperation with the state and church authorities, we have developed the 19th century mission school into one of the most modern schools in the region. In addition to a separate classroom for each grade, a modern pre-school, a renovated administration building and a new sanitary block, the school now also has its own kitchen, which currently provides food for 352 pupils and teachers every day. In addition to the RMPS, we selectively support other school projects and thus make an important contribution to high-quality and free education for children and young people in the NDZ region.

Sponsors wishing to support the education project can contribute towards expanding resources for more teachers, necessary teaching materials and equipment such as computers, learning programmes, and age-appropriate preschool equipment. Funds and volunteers can further support ensuring a reliable power supply, the expansion and maintenance of the school gardens, improvements in the school and teaching kitchens, and many other important endeavours.
